SEND Class Teacher

East Birmingham:
Are you an enthusiastic and nurturing teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with special educational needs?

The school is seeking a Class Teacher to join their team, teaching a small group of primary‑aged pupils with a range of learning needs.

You will teach a class of no more than 8 pupils, supported by experienced teaching assistants who collaborate to ensure every child receives personalised learning and care.

The school offers a warm welcome to new staff and values teamwork, communication and celebrating pupil progress.

• Teach a small primary SEND class and plan engaging and accessible lessons
• Create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
• Work closely with teaching assistants to support pupils’ personal and academic development
• Use a range of strategies to support communication, sensory regulation and learning
• Establish strong relationships with families, therapists and external support professionals
• Encourage independence, confidence and emotional well‑being
