The Department of Society and Politics, a constituent part of the School of Law and Social Sciences at Aston University, is seeking to appoint an outstanding Teaching Associate in order to lead the delivery of key modules within the broader Politics and International Relations curriculum, focusing in particular on Gender and Politics, Environmental Politics and Security Studies.
Some key responsibilities are listed below:
- Deliver high-quality, innovative teaching and assessment at undergraduate and postgraduate level, with a focus in particular, though not exclusively on Gender and Politics, Environmental Politics and Security Studies.
- Provide a positive and supportive learning experience for students in the classroom.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment that supports student success, employability and professional skills development.
Ideally, the candidate will have previous experience of designing, developing and delivering module teaching in the broad disciplinary areas of Politics, Sociology and International Relations.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a friendly academic team within a growing School of Law and Social Sciences, with a strong commitment to applied learning.
