We are working with a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Aston that is looking to appoint a passionate SEND Teacher to lead a small, high-needs class within their well-established resource base. The provision supports pupils with complex learning needs, including Autism and communication difficulties, with a strong emphasis on structure, nurture, and personalised learning.

This role is ideal for a teacher with a SEND specialism and experience in a specialist school or provision. ECTs with a clear passion for SEND are encouraged to apply. You’ll be supported by experienced teaching assistants and a leadership team that prioritises high-quality, inclusive education.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons aligned to EHCP outcomes and individual learning needs
  • Adapt teaching strategies and resources to support pupils with a range of complex SEND profiles
  • Use structured, evidence-based approaches (e.g. visual supports, routines) to aid communication and behaviour
  • Lead, support, and effectively deploy teaching assistants to deliver targeted interventions
  • Monitor, assess, and track progress against individual targets, adjusting provision where needed
  • Create a safe, consistent, and nurturing classroom environment that supports emotional regulation
  • Build positive relationships and work collaboratively with families, SENCo, and external professionals
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development alongside academic progress
What We're Looking For
  • QTS (ECTs welcome with SEND focus)
  • Experience in a specialist or SEND setting
  • Strong knowledge of adaptive teaching strategies
  • Calm, patient, and resilient approach
  • Ability to build strong, trusting relationships
Why Apply
  • Supportive leadership and strong SEN team
  • Excellent TA support within a well-resourced provision
  • Ongoing CPD and SEND-focused training
  • Clear progression opportunities in a stable setting
