Geography Teacher

Teacher Active is proud to be working with a mainstream secondary school in Birmingham that is seeking to appoint a Geography Teacher. Rated ‘GOOD’ by OFSTED, the school promotes a supportive and inclusive culture, high aspirations for all learners, and a strong commitment to staff development and professional growth.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Geography Teacher on a long-term temporary basis from September 2026. The successful Geography Teacher will be responsible for teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4, planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the school's high standards of teaching and learning.

The successful Geography Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Geography specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)

• Experience teaching Geography up to Key Stage 4 / KS4

• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Geography curriculum

• Excellent classroom management skills

• The ability to assess, monitor and support student progress effectively

• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
