Secondary Teacher Science
First for education is proud to be working in partnership with a high-achieving school to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic person in Science. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Science teacher with QTS and a strong academic background in Science. They will be a passionate and knowledgeable subject specialist, confident in delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of Science while achieving strong outcomes for students.
We are actively recruiting for this role and welcome applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to develop their career within a supportive and high-achieving school environment.
We are looking for candidates that can teach across either Chemistry, Biology or Physics and are comfortable delivering classes over any of those desirable subjects.
This is a full-time, long-term position for the new academic year, delivering lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3), Key Stage 4 (KS4) and Key Stage 5 desirable.
Qualifications & Experience- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong academic background in Science.
- Experience teaching across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
- Ability to deliver lessons across Chemistry, Biology or Physics.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to teaching.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through The Education Specialists.
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
- Adapt teaching to suit different classroom environments.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Competitive daily rate (£150 - £250 per day, depending on experience).
- PAYE paid weekly.
- Long-term stability for the remainder of the academic year.
