Overview

First for Education is seeking a flexible and confident Secondary Supply Teacher to provide P.E in a well-regarded secondary school in Birmingham, rated 'Good' by Ofsted. This full‑time, long‑term position runs for the remainder of the academic year, delivering lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), with opportunities to teach KS5.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver pre‑planned lessons across a range of subjects
  • Adapt teaching to suit different classroom environments
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Ensure pupils remain engaged and on task
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
  • Ability to deliver lessons across a range of subjects
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply through The Education Specialists
