Science Teacher
- Alternative Provision Multiple Sites
- East Birmingham Full-Time | Monday to Friday Up to £55,000 FTE DOEWe are currently exclusively partnering with a specialist education provider seeking passionate and adaptable Science Teachers to join their growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach within a supportive alternative provision environment where relationships, creativity, and learner engagement are at the heart of education.

You’ll work with young people who face barriers to mainstream learning, delivering engaging Science lessons in small groups and 1:1 settings while helping learners build confidence, resilience, and a positive future.

The Role As a Science Teacher, you’ll be responsible for planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual learner needs within specialist and alternative education settings.

Working alongside Teaching Assistants, Coaches, and Mentors, you’ll help create a safe and engaging learning environment that supports both academic achievement and personal development.

Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering engaging and differentiated Science lessons

Planning lessons, assessments, and learning resources

Monitoring learner progress and completing regular reporting

Supporting learner engagement, behaviour, and wellbeing

Building positive relationships with learners and families

Working collaboratively with wider support teams and external agencies

Contributing to curriculum development and continuous improvement

Maintaining high safeguarding and compliance standards

What We’re Looking For Essential:

QTS, QTLS, or equivalent teaching qualification

Experience teaching Science Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

Desirable:

Experience with in Alternative Provision, PRUs, SEN, or specialist settings

Experience supporting learners with SEMH or additional needsIQA qualification

Creative and flexible teaching approaches
