We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Food Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Birmingham. This is a full‑time role set to begin in September 2026 initially on a temporary basis, with the potential to become a permanent position.
The successful candidate will be confident in teaching Food Technology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will be committed to delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to explore the creative and technical aspects of design while promoting high academic achievement.
- Must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Food Technology / Design & Technology at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
- Strong subject knowledge in Food and Hospitality
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Passion for DT education and fostering student creativity
- Safeguarding Level 1 trained (we can support with this if needed)
