Primary Teacher – SEND School (South Birmingham)
Are you a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity within a specialist SEND setting? This specialist school supports children with a range of additional learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), communication needs and associated learning challenges. With small class sizes, experienced Teaching Assistants and access to outstanding resources, teachers are able to focus on delivering personalised learning and helping pupils achieve their full potential.

As a Primary Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of your pupils, creating a nurturing and structured learning environment where children feel safe, valued and motivated to learn. You will work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and families to support both academic achievement and personal development. The Role:

Teaching a small class of primary-aged pupils with SEND
Planning and delivering engaging and highly differentiated lessons
Supporting pupils with Autism, learning difficulties and communication needs
Creating a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment
Working closely with experienced Teaching Assistants and specialist staff
Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to EHCP targets
Encouraging independence, confidence and social development
Building positive relationships with parents, carers and professionals

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching primary-aged pupils
A passion for SEND education and inclusive practice
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
The ability to adapt learning to meet a range of individual needs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Previous SEND experience (desirable but not essential)
