Automotive Lecturer | Darlithydd Modurol

Salary Details: ALS1 - ALS4 (£26,386 - 31,139 per annum) without teaching qualification
MG1 - UP1 (£33,596 - £48,288 per annum) with teaching qualification
Opportunity to progress onto a further scale
Hours of Work: Part Time - 0.4 FTE
Qualifications:
- You hold a minimum Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Engineering or equivalent
- If you do not hold a recognised teaching qualification (such as PGCE), you will be required to undertake and achieve a PGCE within a specified timescale. The PGCE will be fully funded by Pembrokeshire College and you will be given the appropriate time to attend the in‑house course.
- You will also be supported in gaining a TAQA Level 3 and an IQA Level 4 qualification during employment.
Experience:
- You will have recent experience of working within the Automotive industry.
You will plan, develop, and deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons to automotive learners, ensuring the content is accessible and relevant. You will design and implement learner‑centred assessment methods, providing constructive feedback to support student progress and achievement. Ensuring a safe working environment, promoting and enforcing health and safety standards at all times is essential.

All Further Education Lecturers, Further Education Support Workers and Work‑based Learning Practitioners in Wales are required to register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC), prior to commencing employment. This is to be paid for by the individual at a cost of £45 for Further Education Lecturers and Work‑based Learning Practitioners and £15 for Further Education Support Workers.
