Contract:

Full-time

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and committed Year 1 Teacher to join our welcoming primary school from September.

This is an exciting opportunity to teach a small Year 1 class of just 13 pupils, allowing you to build strong relationships with children and deliver highly personalised learning experiences. Due to the small class size, there will be limited Teaching Assistant support, so we are looking for a confident practitioner who can independently plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the curriculum.

The successful candidate will:

Have proven experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1.
Demonstrate strong classroom management and excellent teaching practice.
Be confident delivering phonics, early reading, writing, and maths.
Have a good understanding of assessment and pupil progress.
Be committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Work effectively as part of a supportive school team.
The schools curriculum includes:

Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised
Kinetic Letters
White Rose Maths
Number Sense Maths
Kapow Primary Curriculum
We are particularly interested in hearing from experienced teachers who are familiar with these programmes or similar approaches.

What we offer:

A small class size with the opportunity to make a significant impact.
Friendly and supportive colleagues.
Engaged pupils who are eager to learn.
A positive school community with a strong focus on high-quality teaching and learning.
Recruitment Process
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a Zoom interview, followed by a school visit where appropriate. References will be requested prior to appointment.
