Teacher of English

Role Overview

As a Teacher of English at The Edge Academy, you will work alongside the subject lead to adapt the English curriculum to meet the diverse needs of our students. The role is suitable for Early Career Teachers and experienced teachers seeking progression.

• Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated English curriculum for KS3 and KS4.
• Support students with varying abilities and needs from KS3 up to GCSE level.
• Be an active member of the English department and assist the subject lead.
• Undertake the usual responsibilities of a class teacher with confidence.
• Contribute to a safe and welcoming learning environment for all students, particularly those who may be vulnerable.

• Degree level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
• Proven excellence as a classroom teacher.
• Experience of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement.
• Fluent and spoken English, as required under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016).
• Positive, resilient, friendly, and hardworking attitude.
