Teacher Active is partnering with an Ofsted Good secondary school in South Birmingham seeking a talented Drama Teacher to join a supportive and ambitious Performing Arts department. The school offers state-of-the-art facilities from a recent build project and places staff development at the heart of its success, supporting teachers to grow and progress within their careers.
This Drama Teacher position is a long-term placement with the potential to become permanent and full-time for the right candidate, starting September 2026. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lessons across KS3-KS5, contribute to a well-established curriculum, and support student preparation for external examinations. The role includes shaping performance opportunities and enriching the Performing Arts offer both inside and outside the classroom.
Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality Drama lessons across KS3-KS5 and contribute to a well-established curriculum.
- Prepare students for external examinations and support creative development in and outside the classroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues to shape performance opportunities within the Performing Arts offer.
- Contribute to curriculum development within Performing Arts and support school-wide initiatives.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs welcome to apply).
- Experience teaching Drama across KS3-KS5.
- Strong classroom management and the ability to engage learners.
- Commitment to supporting student progress and achievement.
- Creative, enthusiastic, and collaborative approach to teaching.
