* Print We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and proactive Librarian to lead and develop our school library. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about literacy, learning and helping young people develop a lifelong love of reading.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the library, maintaining an engaging and inclusive learning environment, and supporting students and staff in accessing a wide range of resources. The Librarian will play a key role in promoting reading for pleasure, information literacy and independent learning across the school.

* Key Responsibilities:

*** Manage and develop the school library and its resources.
* Promote reading and literacy through events, displays, clubs and initiatives.
* Support students in selecting books and accessing learning resources.
* Maintain and update the library catalogue and lending systems.
* Purchase, organise and monitor library stock and resources.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support curriculum delivery.
* Provide guidance on research skills, information literacy and digital resources.
* Create an attractive, welcoming and inclusive library environment.
* Monitor library usage and prepare reports as required.
* Supervise students using the library during lessons, break times and after-school activities where applicable.
