Rate of pay: £110 – £130 (Dependent on Experience)

As a Cover Supervisor, based in Handsworth Wood, you will play a key part in supporting children with a variety of additional needs, ensuring they can access learning and reach their full potential. You will be supervising a whole class in a primary setting during PPA time and during teachers' absence. You will deliver pre-prepared lessons and learning activities and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will also support pupils to remain on task and provide feedback to staff on lesson outcomes and pupil engagement. There is no planning involved with this role.

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school or care setting is essential.
• Degree in education or equivalent qualification.
• A patient, nurturing, and empathetic approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
• Strong communication skills, both with pupils and staff.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children (an enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one through Connex Education, is required).

• Competitive daily rate.

• Funded formal qualification:
  Level 2 SEND, Level 3 Teaching and Learning, Level 4 HTLA, Level 5 TEF.
• Career progression via our Care to classroom setting conversion course.
