As Nursery Manager, you will provide inspirational leadership across all aspects of the Nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care, education and safeguarding, whilst fostering a culture of collaboration, professional development and continuous improvement. Duties will include:
Inspire, motivate and lead a dedicated Early Years team, creating a positive and supportive working culture. Coach and develop Deputy Managers, Room Leaders and practitioners, nurturing future leaders within the school. Promote staff wellbeing, professional growth and reflective practice. Champion an inclusive environment where every child, family and colleague feels valued. Lead the delivery of an ambitious, child-centred EYFS curriculum that inspires curiosity, confidence and a lifelong love of learning.
Create exceptional learning environments that reflect children's interests and individual needs. Work closely with colleagues across the school to ensure smooth transitions into Reception and continuity of learning. Drive continuous improvement through self-evaluation, innovation and reflective practice. Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and children's wellbeing at all times. Maintain full compliance with EYFS statutory requirements and Ofsted expectations, ensuring the Nursery remains inspection-ready.
Recruit, induct and retain talented Early Years professionals who share the school's values Applications would be most welcome from Nursery Managers or aspiring Nursery Managers with the following: A minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5 or above desirable). Current Designated Safeguarding Lead training and excellent safeguarding knowledge. Safer Recruitment training (or a willingness to undertake this). At least two years' leadership experience as a Deputy Manager or Nursery Manager.
A proven track record of leading high-quality Early Years provision with successful Ofsted outcomes. Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development. Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
Experience of managing teams, developing staff and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. Financial awareness and the ability to manage resources effectively. A warm, approachable and inspiring leadership style, with a commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for children and families.
