Teacher of the Deaf (Full Time, Permanent)

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
Start date: September 2026

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, proactive and innovative Teacher of the Deaf to join a supportive and forward-thinking educational environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality teaching for deaf students
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of individual needs
  • Support students to access the curriculum and achieve strong outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
  • Contribute to curriculum development and inclusive practice
  • Support the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience or confidence in teaching deaf students
  • Strong classroom practice and subject knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to inspire and motivate students and colleagues
