Are you an experienced SEN Teacher looking for your next rewarding opportunity? Do you have a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential?
We are working in partnership with a highly supportive and welcoming Special School in Birmingham that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team from the beginning of the new academic year in September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a school with a strong leadership team, a positive working environment, and a genuine commitment to staff development. The position will initially be offered on a long-term basis, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and personalised lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs. You will work closely with support staff, therapists, senior leaders, and families to ensure every pupil receives the highest standard of education and care.
The successful candidate will be passionate about inclusive education and committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
We Are Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
* Experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
* Strong classroom management skills
* A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
* The ability to plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Experienced SEN Teachers Welcome
The school's preference is for an experienced SEN Teacher who can confidently support pupils with a range of additional needs and make an immediate impact. However, the school is also keen to hear from enthusiastic and motivated teachers who are committed to developing their SEN expertise.
Excellent Opportunity for ECTs
This school is proud to offer a Temp-to-Perm pathway, making it an excellent opportunity for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to secure a long-term role within a specialist setting.
For suitable ECTs, the school can provide support through the Early Career Teacher induction period, allowing candidates to complete their induction while gaining valuable experience in a supportive and well-established special school environment.
