SEND Teaching Assistant
Perry Common, Birmingham (easily accessible via public transport, with a short walk for non‑drivers)
£110‑£120 per day

Contract:
Full-time, long‑term temp‑to‑perm (Full Academic Year)
- Supporting students both in lessons and in alternative learning environments
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and well‑structured lessons across Key Stages
- Setting clear and consistent expectations tailored to individual student needs
- Using positive behaviour strategies to support engagement and progress
- Monitoring student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to staff and parents where appropriate
- Supporting students outside of the classroom to help them regulate before reintegrating into lessons
- Encouraging independence, resilience, and positive social interaction among pupils
- Experience working with secondary‑aged pupils with SEND
- Calm, confident, and able to respond effectively to challenging behaviour
- Able to build strong, professional relationships while maintaining firm boundaries
- Reliable and committed to a long‑term placement – consistency is vital for students
- Resilient and adaptable, with a proactive approach to supporting young people
