Design Technology Teacher - September Start

Central Birmingham

£200 – £250 per day (£1,000 – £1,250 per week)

Are you an experienced and confident Design Technology Teacher looking for a new challenge from September?

PK Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a busy secondary school in Central Birmingham who are seeking a resilient, enthusiastic, and highly skilled DT Teacher to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and has the confidence, experience, and classroom presence required to make a real impact. The school is looking for someone who can build strong relationships with students, maintain high expectations, and inspire learners through engaging and practical DT lessons.

• Teach Design Technology across KS3 and KS4
• Deliver engaging, creative, and well‑structured lessons
• Have strong classroom management skills and the ability to set clear boundaries
• Motivate and support students of varying abilities
• Build positive relationships and encourage students to achieve their potential

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Recent experience teaching DT within a UK secondary school
• A confident and consistent approach to behaviour management
• The ability to engage and challenge students in a demanding environment
• A passion for developing students’ creativity, skills, and confidence
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

• Competitive rates of £200 – £250 per day
