Academics Ltd is hiring a Learning Support Assistant to work in several Birmingham primary schools. This temporary role offers the opportunity to become a long‑term placement for the right candidate.
Responsibilities- Deliver one‑to‑one and small group support both within and outside the classroom.
- Help teachers deliver engaging lessons and educational exercises.
- Assist students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASC), speech and language impairments, and social, emotional, and mental health issues.
- Promote student involvement, independence and confidence in learning.
- Encourage good behaviour and contribute to the maintenance of a secure and encouraging learning environment.
- Record students’ development and provide teachers with feedback.
- Enhanced DBS check, must be maintained on the update service.
- Relevant qualifications or experience.
- Willingness to complete relevant training on an ongoing basis.
