SEND Inclusion Support is proud to be recruiting on behalf of one of our specialist education partners for an experienced and passionate Special Educational Needs Co‑ordinator (SENCO). This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing specialist school supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD and a range of additional learning needs. The school provides a calm, nurturing and highly supportive environment where pupils are empowered to thrive both academically and personally.

The Role

As the school's SENCO, you will:

  • Lead the strategic development and implementation of SEND provision across the school.
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day SEND support and interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
  • Support teachers and support staff in delivering high‑quality, inclusive teaching.
  • Monitor pupil progress and analyse data to improve outcomes.
  • Oversee EHCPs, annual reviews and targeted interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, carers and external professionals.
  • Lead and develop SEND staff, providing guidance, training and support.
  • Maintain accurate SEND records, documentation and reporting systems.
  • Promote safeguarding, inclusion and positive outcomes for all pupils.
About You

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated professional who is committed to making a difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS).
  • Experience teaching across a range of key stages.
  • Previous experience in a SENCO or similar leadership role.
  • NASENCO or NPQ for SENCOs qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
  • Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills.
  • A commitment to inclusion, collaboration and continuous professional development.
