Food Technology and Resistant Materials Teacher
Vision for Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established secondary school in Sutton Coldfield to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology and Resistant Materials Teacher for a full-time, long-term supply position starting in September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Design and Technology Teacher with experience delivering Food Technology and Resistant Materials across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will join a supportive department and take on the full responsibilities of a permanent member of staff throughout the placement.
The Role- Teach Food Technology and Resistant Materials to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, practical and theory-based lessons.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
- Assess, monitor and record student progress in line with school policies.
- Mark work and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
- Attend departmental meetings, staff meetings and training.
- Participate in Parents' Evenings and contribute to the wider life of the school.
- Carry out all usual teaching responsibilities expected of a classroom teacher.
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching Food Technology and Resistant Materials within a UK secondary school.
- Has excellent classroom management skills.
- Is passionate about inspiring young people through practical learning.
- Can build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
- Is committed to raising standards and supporting student achievement.
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with relevant placement experience are encouraged to apply.
