Overview
SEN Teaching Assistant – Birmingham. Full-time and/or part-time positions available. We are seeking caring, patient, and enthusiastic individuals to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across Birmingham schools. The role involves assisting pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, SEMH, and learning disabilities.
Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Implement EHCP targets and behaviour support strategies.
- Promote independence, confidence, and positive learning experiences.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure pupils receive appropriate support.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
- A patient, compassionate, and positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are beneficial but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
