Salary
£21,835 – £25,356 (actual salary). Grade A: £24,796 – £28,142 (full salary). Subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review by the salary/Grade.
Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and proactive School Administration Assistant for Attendance with a strong focus on improving pupil attendance and engagement. The successful candidate will play a central role in promoting excellent attendance across the school, working closely with pupils, families, and staff to reduce absence and remove barriers to learning.
Responsibilities- Monitor, analyse, and respond to attendance data, manage your own caseload, and implement effective strategies to improve outcomes for pupils.
- Work in partnership with the Headteacher, Head of Year, and external agencies to strengthen links between home, school, the wider community, and the local authority.
- Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils and their families, challenging poor attendance where necessary while offering practical guidance and pastoral support.
- Deliver high‑quality, targeted pastoral support and intervention to promote high expectations and sustained improvements in attendance and punctuality.
- Secondary school experience preferred but not essential.
- Provide two suitable references.
- Must comply with safeguarding and pre‑employment checks, including enhanced DBS, prohibition check, and relevant identity and right‑to‑work verification.
