SEN Tutor
Location: Birmingham City Centre & Surrounding Areas
Pay: £20–£25 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Type: Flexible Part-Time or Full-Time (Monday–Friday)
Connex Education Partnership is looking for passionate and experienced SEN Tutors to support children who are unable to attend school. You’ll deliver personalised one-to-one tuition in a setting that best meets each learner’s needs, most commonly within their home.
This is a rewarding opportunity to help pupils build confidence, improve literacy skills, and re-engage with learning.
What You’ll Be Doing- Deliver tailored one-to-one tuition to pupils with a range of additional needs.
- Support learners with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, SEMH, EHCPs
, and other SEN. - Plan engaging lessons that develop:
- Reading
- Writing
- Spelling
- Grammar
- Literacy and communication skills
- Adapt your teaching to suit individual learning styles and EHCP outcomes.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and their families.
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
- Create a calm, supportive, and encouraging learning environment.
We have tuition opportunities across:
- Birmingham
- Harborne
- Sutton Coldfield
- Lichfield
- Wolverhampton
- Surrounding areas
- Monday to Friday
- Minimum of 2 hours per day, per pupil
- Additional hours available
- Flexible working to fit around your availability
- Teaching or tutoring experience (QTS or non-QTS)
- Experience supporting children with SEN and/or SEMH needs
- Knowledge of literacy development and the National Curriculum
- Patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach
- Experience in schools, alternative provisions, or home tuition is desirable
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle preferred, but not essential
- Flexible working to suit your lifestyle
