This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEND professional to influence whole‑school strategy, develop outstanding provision and make a lasting impact on the lives of children and young people.
What You'll Be Doing- Lead the strategic development and implementation of SEND provision across the school
- Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and promote outstanding inclusive practice
- Oversee EHCPs, interventions, assessments and targeted support programmes
- Monitor pupil progress, analyse outcomes and drive continuous improvement
- Support, coach and develop teaching and support staff in effective SEND practice
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, therapists and external agencies
- Lead annual reviews and ensure pupils receive the provision they need to succeed
- Maintain accurate SEND records and reporting systems
- Champion safeguarding, wellbeing and positive outcomes for every pupil
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
- NASENCO or NPQ for SENCOs qualification
- Experience working with children and young people with SEND, particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Previous SENCO or SEND leadership experience
- Strong understanding of EHCP processes and SEND legislation
- Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills
- A collaborative approach and genuine passion for improving outcomes for young people
