SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or Level 3 Qualified)

Salary: £22,500–£26,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Contract:
Hours: Full-time preferred, although part‑time applications will be considered
Term Time Only

We are seeking a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at a thriving primary academy.

Our dedicated staff work collaboratively to create a nurturing atmosphere where children can develop academically, socially and emotionally.

This role will involve supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis as well as working with small intervention groups
. You will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, develop confidence and achieve positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.

The successful candidate will:
  • Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).

  • Have previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) (essential).

  • Have experience working on a 1:1 basis and with small groups.

  • Be patient, compassionate and adaptable in meeting the needs of individual pupils.

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers.

  • Be committed to promoting inclusion and supporting every child to succeed.

  • Work effectively as part of a dedicated and supportive staff team.
