Q3 Academy Great Barr is a mixed comprehensive Academy with a dynamic Sixth Form serving a vibrant and culturally diverse community of nearly 1,200 students.

Assistant SENDCo – Assist the SENDCo in ensuring students with additional needs have barriers to learning removed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional in‑class/out‑of‑class support to students in care
  • Build strong relationships with students
  • Adapt the curriculum so that students with additional needs have full access
  • Lead timetabled interventions that impact student learning and achievement
  • Manage staff as directed by the SENDCo
  • Support the operational running of the department
  • Co‑ordinate access arrangements across the school
