Lecturer​/Senior Lecturer - Business

The University of Law Business School provides industry accredited degrees (CMI, CIM, APM, CIPD, ACCA) in Business Management, Marketing, HR, Finance and Accounting, designed specifically with employability in mind.

We are currently looking for Lecturer / Senior Lecturers to join our academic team at our centrally located Birmingham campus.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in Harvard Case Method and online simulation.

Specialisms we seek include
:
Data, Cyber Security, Business Analytics, Quantitative, Project Management, HRM, Management & General Business skills ideally from the Higher Education sector.

• Teach and assess across the University of Law Business School course portfolio, including postgraduate and undergraduate BSc courses.
• Assist in the preparation of assignments and assessments.
• Participate in course design and review.
• Act as an academic coach to students, being available and willing to discuss students’ problems as they arise, their performance and academic progression.

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
• Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or equivalent, or willingness to work towards it.
• Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE.
• Significant breadth and depth of professional experience in the relevant discipline to develop teaching programmes and learning support.
• If you do not currently hold this, the University requires you to enrol into the programme (delivered and financially supported by the University) within 12 months of passing probation, with successful completion essential to the role.

• Master’s degree (in Business and/or Management) or professional qualifications.
• Fellowship of the HEA and Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PgCHE), and extensive relevant experience.
• Teaching experience in a Higher Education setting or educational establishment.
• Significant expertise in application and practical delivery of a range of teaching techniques, pastoral care, mentoring colleagues, assessments and marking, team leadership.

• Salary:
  Lecturer £40,500 – £42,500;
  Senior Lecturer £49,000 – £54,000.
