Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new opportunity this September? We, Academics, are working in partnership with a welcoming and well‑respected primary school in Birmingham that is on the look out for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to work in one of their Year 1 class. This full‑time, long‑term position starts in September 2026 and continues until April 2027.

This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in a child's educational journey while becoming part of a supportive school where you can be recognised as an asset to the team.

• Provide engaging 1‑to‑1 sessions for Year 1 pupils with SEND.
• Support pupils' learning, communication and social development both inside and outside the classroom.
• Work closely with the SENDCO and teacher to deliver relevant and tailored learning plans.
• Assist with personal care, supporting pupils' personal care needs with patience and compassion.

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school or similar setting.
• Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service).
• Relevant qualifications or experience.
• Willingness to complete relevant training continually when needed.
