The OpportunityAn established and forward‑thinking independent school in Birmingham invites applications for the position of Business Studies Teacher. We are seeking a knowledgeable and inspiring educator who can bring business concepts to life, equipping pupils with the analytical, financial and strategic thinking skills needed for future study and employment.
The Role- Teach Business Studies across Key Stages 4 and 5
- Deliver engaging lessons covering enterprise, marketing, finance, operations and human resources
- Prepare pupils for GCSE and A Level examinations
- Encourage debate, critical thinking and real‑world application of business theory
- Contribute to enrichment opportunities such as enterprise projects, investment clubs or business competitions
- Support pupils with university applications, including competitive courses in business, economics and related fields
- Play an active role in the wider academic and pastoral life of the school
- Independent school life extends beyond the classroom, and the Business Studies Teacher will be expected to contribute fully to co‑curricular and enrichment programmes

The PersonThe successful applicant will demonstrate:
- A strong academic background in Business, Economics or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (or equivalent experience in the independent sector)
- Experience teaching GCSE and A Level Business Studies
- The ability to inspire analytical thinking and commercial awareness
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- A willingness to contribute to co‑curricular and enrichment activities
- A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
