Reception Teaching Assistant

Flourish Education are seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to support a Reception class at a Primary School in the Bartley Green area. This role is to start immediately and will continue until the end of the academic year.

This is a full‑time position working 8:15am–3:15pm, which includes supporting Breakfast Club from 8:15am–8:45am. You will work as part of the Early Years team supporting teaching and learning in Reception. The school follows the Little Wandle Phonics scheme, and there may also be opportunities to provide intervention support across other year groups.

The school provides a supportive environment where staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils feel safe, engaged and ready to learn.

• Supporting teaching and learning in a Reception class
• Assisting with phonics delivery using the Little Wandle scheme

• Following the school’s policies and procedures

• Early Years qualification preferred (minimum Level
  3)
• Experience working in EYFS, ideally Reception
• Understanding of early phonics teaching
• Calm, proactive and supportive approach
• Commitment to promoting an inclusive learning environment

• £92.50 – £95 a day, dependent on experience
• Holiday Pay – 12.07% accrued for PAYE candidates

This position is based in the Bartley Green area, with good public transport links and access from Quinton, Northfield, Harborne and surrounding areas.
