Salary: Grade 3 - £27,254 to £33,699 FTE (£21,217.91 to £26,235.50 Actual) Pay award pending Autumn 2026

Allowances: £1,722 SEN allowance FTE (pro rata)

Hours of Work: 32.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, Term time only

Contract type: Permanent

Start date of role: Autumn Term

Education Impact Academy Trust is a MAT incorporating The Hive College, Wilson Stuart School, Queensbury School and Mayfield School. The Hive College is based in Erdington, Birmingham and is a Specialist Further Education College for learners aged 19-25 years with Special Educational Needs and disabilities. In November 2023 we were graded Outstanding in every single aspect of an Ofsted Inspection.

As part of our on-going development of a highly successful specialist college, we have a Teaching Assistant vacancy to join our team of professional and dedicated people.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:
  • An NVQ Level 3 Vocational or Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent), plus minimum GCSE English and Maths Grade C and above (or equivalent).
  • A good understanding of how students learn and develop in education.
  • The ability to support the work placement team in meeting the needs of all students, including mentoring, pastoral care and assisting with the physical care of students as and when required.
  • The ability to work with individuals and small groups of students.
  • Excellent communication and written skills with high expectations of learning and behaviour.
  • The skills to support students in the workplace and whilst out in the community.
