Position: Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

Through our growing partnership with the school's wider organisation, we are now working closely with the leadership team to recruit exceptional staff for September. The school is renowned for its nurturing approach, supportive leadership and commitment to helping every pupil thrive.

Senior leaders are interviewing throughout the summer holidays to ensure they secure the very best staff for the new academic year.

About the Opportunity

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning. You'll work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support, helping them feel safe, engaged and confident both inside and outside the classroom.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing 1:1 and small group behaviour support.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils through consistency, patience and encouragement.
  • Supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), SEMH, ADHD and other additional needs.
  • Implementing behaviour support strategies and promoting emotional regulation.
  • Working alongside teachers to maintain a calm and positive learning environment.
  • Encouraging independence, confidence and resilience.
  • Recording progress and reporting observations to teaching staff.
  • Promoting safeguarding and pupil wellbeing at all times.
