SEN Teacher – Resource Base (Mainstream Primary School)

Location: Birmingham
Start Date: 1st September 2026
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term (Full Academic Year)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join the resource base of a welcoming mainstream primary school from 1st September
.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small specialist class of 5 pupils with complex additional needs, with plans for the provision to expand over the coming terms. You will be supported by three experienced Teaching Assistants
, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality, personalised learning while working collaboratively to meet each child's individual needs.

Some pupils require personal care
, so previous experience supporting children with complex needs and personal care requirements is essential.

• Lead teaching and learning within the school's specialist resource base.
• Plan, deliver and adapt engaging lessons to meet a range of complex SEN needs.
• Complete planning, assessment and marking in line with school expectations.
• Work closely with Teaching Assistants, the SENCO and wider school staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
• Create a nurturing, inclusive and structured learning environment that enables every child to thrive.

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Has previous experience teaching children with Special Educational Needs.
• Has experience leading an SEN class, including planning, assessment and marking.
• Is confident supporting pupils with complex needs and personal care requirements.
• Can commit to the role for the full academic year

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
