The Role
Vision for Education is recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistants to work in a range of secondary schools across Birmingham.
We are looking for individuals with experience supporting students with mainstream Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), as well as those who have a strong pastoral background. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by helping young people overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.
You may be working on a one-to-one basis, supporting small intervention groups, or assisting within the classroom to ensure all students are fully engaged in their learning.

RequirementsThe successful Secondary Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience supporting students within a secondary school setting.
- Knowledge of supporting students with mainstream SEND, including ASD, ADHD, dyslexia, speech and language needs, SEMH or other additional learning needs.
- A strong pastoral background with the ability to build positive relationships with young people.
- Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.
- A patient, empathetic and proactive approach.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
