Art / Design Teacher
Flourish Education are working with a welcoming secondary school in Kings Heath who are looking to appoint a passionate Art Teacher on a part-time basis. This is a great opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic teacher to join a supportive school environment and encourage students to develop their artistic abilities and confidence.
The school is committed to providing a positive learning experience for all pupils, with a strong focus on creativity, personal development and high-quality teaching. The successful Art Teacher will become part of a collaborative team and will have the opportunity to inspire students through engaging and purposeful lessons.
You will teach Art across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, taking full responsibility for your classes. This will include planning and delivering lessons, marking and assessment, monitoring student progress, writing reports and attending parents' evenings where required.
This is a part-time position starting in September 2026 and continuing until Easter
, with the potential for the role to be extended for the right candidate.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Previous experience teaching Art within a UK Secondary School
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Art curriculum
- Experience teaching across KS3 and KS4
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons
- A commitment to creating an inclusive and positive learning environment
- £174.71–£240.70 per day
, dependent on experience - Equivalent to £34,068–£46,937 per annum based on a full-time role across a full school year (M1–M6), pro rata for this part-time position
