Period: 1 September 2026 to 23 October 2026 (or until a permanent postholder commences)

Hours:

27.5 hours per week comprising:

• 19.5 hours teaching
• 8 hours preparation, marking and administration

Working Pattern:

• Tuesday: 9:00am - 4:30pm
• Wednesday: 9:00am - 4:30pm
• Thursday: 9:00am - 4:30pm
• Friday: 9:00am - 2:45pm

Pay Rates:

• £25-£27 per hour (teaching hours)
• £14 per hour (preparation/administration hours)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Lecturer in Travel & Tourism to join our team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching to learners on Travel & Tourism programmes, supporting students to achieve their qualifications and progress within the industry or into higher education.

• Deliver engaging and effective Travel & Tourism lessons.
• Prepare lesson plans, learning materials and assessments.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, achievement and learner performance.
• Support students to achieve their full potential in a positive learning environment.
• Undertake associated administration, preparation and quality assurance duties.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:

• Relevant qualifications in Travel & Tourism or a closely related subject.
• Recent and relevant industry experience within the travel, tourism, hospitality, aviation or visitor economy sectors
• Experience of teaching, training or assessing learners in further education, colleges, adult education or workplace settings.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to engage and motivate learners with differing needs and abilities.
