Aspire People are currently recruiting for a
** strong and experienced Teaching Assistant
** to provide
** 1:1 support to a Reception pupil with ASD
** in a primary school.
The pupil is
** boisterous and energetic**, with behaviours including climbing on furniture, and requires a confident adult who can provide clear boundaries, manage behaviour positively and keep him safe throughout the school day. The role also involves
** support with toileting**.
The successful candidate will be a
** strong role model
** who can build a trusting, positive relationship with the pupil while encouraging engagement, independence and positive behaviour.
** The ideal candidate will have:*
* * Previous experience working in
** Early Years/Reception*
* * Experience supporting children with
** ASD/additional needs*
* * Strong
** behaviour management
** skills
* A calm, confident and consistent approach
* The ability to set clear boundaries and provide positive reinforcement
* Experience supporting children with
** personal care/toileting*
* * The confidence to work 1:1 with an energetic and active pupil
* A nurturing approach with the ability to build strong relationships
