Teaching Personnel is recruiting enthusiastic and resilient graduates to work within specialist schools across Birmingham, supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is an excellent opportunity to build valuable experience, develop transferable skills, and make a real difference to the lives of young people.

We are seeking individuals with a strong understanding of psychology and a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs. Successful candidates will work as Teaching Assistants, helping pupils achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

The Role

Support students within classroom environments
Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Assist teachers in delivering engaging learning activities
Promote independence, confidence, and social inclusion
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students
Follow school safeguarding procedures and policies at all times

Person Specification

Have a warm, approachable, and supportive manner
Remain calm and positive in challenging situations
Believe every child can achieve their potential
Are resilient, confident, and committed to supporting young people
Have experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
