Location: Devon / Somerset / South West England (Hybrid working with travel across the region)

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience. Ranging from £30k to £36k depending on experience

Hours: Full-time (part-time and flexible working considered)

We are looking for an enthusiastic Digital Skills Trainer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others learn, develop confidence and achieve positive outcomes through engaging and practical training.

Working across a range of programmes and projects, you will design and deliver high-quality learning experiences that support individuals including people who may be digitally excluded and/or unemployed, employees, businesses and community organisations to improve their digital skills and confidence. You will be passionate about learning, skilled at engaging diverse audiences and committed to making technology accessible and relevant for everyone.

Based on the role description, the position focuses on delivering digital skills training, coaching and support, developing learning resources, maintaining learner engagement and supporting organisational quality standards.

• Deliver engaging digital skills training in both online and face-to-face settings.
• Facilitate workshops, courses and one-to-one learning support.
• Support learners with a wide range of abilities, backgrounds and confidence levels.
• Design and adapt learning materials and resources to meet learner needs.
• Promote learner engagement, achievement and progression.
• Support organisations, employees and individuals to make effective use of digital tools and technologies.
• Support employers and organisations to identify digital skills needs and development opportunities.
• Maintain accurate learner records and programme documentation.
• Contribute to the development of new learning programmes, resources and services.
• Build positive relationships with learners, employers, community partners and stakeholders.
• Support the successful delivery of funded and commercial projects.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across delivery, projects and administration.
• Keep your knowledge and skills up to date with evolving digital technologies and workplace practices.

• Experience delivering training, workshops, coaching or group learning sessions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong digital skills and confidence using Microsoft 365 and other workplace technologies.
• Ability to engage and motivate a wide range of learners.
• Experience supporting individuals to develop new skills and confidence.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Ability to adapt learning approaches to different audiences and learning styles.
• Commitment to inclusion, accessibility and learner-centred delivery.
• Ability and willingness to travel across the South West when required.
• Teaching, training or coaching qualifications.
• Experience delivering community learning, employability, skills or workforce development programmes.
• Experience supporting businesses, employers or organisations with digital skills development.
• Experience working on publicly funded training programmes.
• Experience using or delivering training on emerging technologies, including AI-powered productivity tools.
• Experience building relationships with employers, stakeholders or delivery partners.
• Understanding of quality assurance and continuous improvement within a training environment.
• Experience undertaking observations, assessment reviews or learner progress monitoring.
• Knowledge of quality standards and compliance requirements within adult learning or skills provision.
• A1 Assessor Award, CAVA, TAQA or equivalent assessor qualification, or a willingness to work towards one.
• Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification or experience.
• Experience contributing to quality improvement plans, audits, inspections or self-assessment activities.
