Senior Design Technology Technician

Wigmore Academy Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Design Technology Technician to provide support for the staff and pupils in the Designand Technology department. You would be joining an established and friendly team in a popular and high achieving school.

Basedat the High School you would be responsible to the Head of Science and Design Technology inco-ordinating the use of, and development of, practical resources and facilities, including the provision of guidance and support in meeting thepractical requirement of the DT curriculum, as well as liaising with all areasof the school and outside organisations.

• Appropriate qualifications at Level 2 and above which demonstrate the capability of managing a practical school environment

• Food Hygiene Certificate
• English and maths at Grade C/4 or above at GCSE
• First Aid certificate

• Experience of practical technology equipment

• Experience of working with children
• Experience of working in a design technology environment

• Knowledge of the use and safety features of a range of machinery important to design technology

• Knowledge of the use and safety features of a range of machinery important to the catering industry

• Ability to maintain clean, tidy and hygienic working environment
