SEND Teacher
Location: Solihull
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: MPS1 - MPS6 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Temporary, ongoing with potential for a permanent role
Hours: full-time, 08:15 - 16:00pm
We are currently seeking an experienced and committed SEND Teacher to join an Primary School in Solihull
. This full-time role involves leading a small primary-aged class of pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), complex needs, and social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD).
The successful candidate will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons and provide a structured, nurturing environment to support pupils who require an alternative approach to mainstream education.
Candidate RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have prior experience working as an SEND Teacher
, along with a strong understanding of the UK SEND and Alternative Provision curriculum
.
Essential criteria:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - SEND experience essential
- Excellent knowledge of the UK SEND and Alternative Provision education system
- Experience supporting children with ASD, complex needs, and challenging behaviour
- A minimum of 12 months' experience working within Special Educational Needs
- Safeguarding Level 1 training
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
- A caring, patient, and nurturing approach
- A strong commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs
This primary school supports pupils within their classrooms with a wide range of needs, including Autism, non-verbal communication needs, physical disabilities, sensory processing difficulties, and challenging behaviour
