You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering engaging GCSE Science lessons, creating appropriate learning resources and assessing student progress. You’ll provide pastoral and academic support where required, maintain accurate learner records and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.

You’ll also work collaboratively with colleagues, liaise with parents, carers and other relevant stakeholders where appropriate, and support wider curriculum activities and events.

  • Successful experience teaching GCSE Science
  • Experience working with learners with SEND, EAL or SEMH needs
  • A positive approach to supporting students from different backgrounds and starting points
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities

Applicants without a PGCE may still be considered where they have relevant teaching experience.

The college is particularly interested in candidates able to deliver Physics
, although applications from Biology and Chemistry specialists are also welcomed.

Salary and Benefits
  • Teachers’ Pension Scheme
, with a college contribution of approximately 28.68%
  • 37 days’ annual leave
