Role Overview

A high-performing secondary school and sixth form in Birmingham is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Biology Teacher to join its thriving Science Faculty. This full-time permanent position involves teaching Biology across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 delivering engaging practical-led lessons that foster scientific curiosity and academic excellence.

The post is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers seeking career growth. You will join a supportive collaborative department with excellent technician support and purpose-built laboratory facilities.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Teaching: Deliver inspiring Biology lessons across KS3KS5 preparing students thoroughly for GCSE and A-Level examinations.

• Practical Science: Design and lead safe engaging laboratory practicals that enhance analytical thinking and scientific enquiry.

• Enrichment: Support co-curricular STEM initiatives including Biology Olympiads science clubs and university prep guidance.

• Qualifications: Relevant degree in Biology or a related Life Sciences discipline alongside QTS or PGCE.
