Position: Full-Time English Teacher | South amp
English Teacher | Full-Time | South Birmingham & Solihull

Long-Term Secondary Teaching Opportunities | Monday to Friday | November 2026 Onwards

Are you a qualified English Teacher looking for a full-time teaching position in South Birmingham or Solihull?

Aspire People is looking to connect with English specialists who are available five days per week and interested in consistent, longer-term teaching assignments across secondary schools in Hall Green, Acocks Green, Shirley, Solihull, Kings Heath, Moseley and surrounding areas.

We are particularly interested in teachers who want the stability of a full teaching timetable, the opportunity to build relationships with pupils and the chance to contribute to an established English department.

Whether you're an experienced teacher considering your next move or an Early Career Teacher looking to develop your experience, we'd like to hear from you.

THE OPPORTUNITIES

We are building our network of qualified English Teachers for future full-time and longer-term secondary school assignments from November 2026 onwards.

Depending on the placement, responsibilities may include:

- Delivering English Language and Literature lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Supporting GCSE pupils with examination preparation, analytical writing and reading comprehension.
- Taking responsibility for a full teaching timetable, typically Monday to Friday.
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with departmental schemes of work.
- Marking, assessing and monitoring pupil progress.
- Establishing positive classroom routines and managing behaviour effectively.
- Adapting lessons to support pupils with SEND and EAL requirements.
- Working collaboratively with teaching colleagues and school leadership.

For longer-term placements, planning, marking and wider departmental responsibilities may form part of the assignment.

These are prospective opportunities across secondary schools in South Birmingham and Solihull rather than a confirmed vacancy at one particular school.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are interested in English Teachers who have:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
- Experience teaching English within a secondary school.
- Strong subject knowledge across English Language and English Literature.
- Confidence delivering the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
- Availability for full-time, five-day-per-week teaching.
- The ability to undertake planning, marking and assessment.
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A professional, adaptable and reliable approach.

Applications are welcomed from experienced English Teachers and confident ECTs.

FULL-TIME AVAILABILITY

This recruitment campaign is specifically aimed at teachers seeking full-time assignments.

We are particularly keen to speak with candidates who are available Monday to Friday and would prefer a consistent teaching position over occasional or part-time supply work.

If you're available from November onwards and interested in longer-term teaching opportunities, we'd like to discuss your availability.

AREAS WE COVER

Our secondary recruitment team works with schools across South Birmingham and Solihull, including Hall Green, Acocks Green, Kings Heath, Moseley, Shirley, central Solihull and surrounding communities.
