Assessor Early Years

This assessor post sits in the Early Years and Education Department at Solihull College & University Centre, supporting learners on apprenticeships and industry placements. The work centres on assessing learners in the workplace, managing their caseloads and delivering training to build underpinning knowledge and competence. It covers several qualifications, including the T Level in Education and Early Years, and may involve working across more than one campus and the wider area.

Prior experience of assessing the T Level is essential.

• Manage all aspects of industry placements and apprenticeships at the appropriate level
• Carry out all operations needed to deliver agreed programmes in line with college policy
• Contribute to training that builds underpinning knowledge and competence for each learner on the caseload
• Support learners on a range of qualifications, including the T Level in Education and Early Years
• Work across more than one campus and the wider area when required

• Level 3 Assessors Award

• Industry experience
• Previous experience assessing the T Level in Education and Early Years
• Proven ability to manage a caseload of learners in the workplace

• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated

• Level 4 Verifiers Award or equivalent qualification
