About the Role

We have an opportunity to join our Asset Strategy & Planning Team as an Energy Technician on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You’ll play a vital role in optimising energy consumption, reducing costs, and contributing to our strategic carbon reduction goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse and monitor energy consumption data, focusing on larger operational sites, and collaborate with site staff to identify and address concerns and implement operational and capital solutions.
  • Report on energy performance regularly, attending energy reviews and conducting proactive site visits.
  • Influence capital and maintenance plans with energy insights and implement and maintain the Energy Standard Operating Procedure and Site Energy Management Plans.
  • Support Customer Operations teams in using our energy flexibly to take advantage of changing tariff or grid‑balancing schemes.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Operational experience in clean water and/or waste water pumping stations, with a track record of delivering improvement actions.
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to influence others.
  • Solid understanding of energy consumption, metering and costs.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems and eSCADA information is desirable.
  • Proficiency in IT tools such as Outlook, Excel, SAP, Stark, eSCADA and PowerPoint.
  • Travel is required; a full U.K. licence is mandatory.
