About the Role

Report to the Business Line Manager – Service for Atlas Copco Tools and Industrial Assembly Solutions and drive day‑to‑day technical calibration services for a wide variety of customers.

Responsibilities
  • Management of laboratory activities in association with the service team
  • Plan and manage calibration laboratory activities and workload in line with customer requirements and other requests
  • Ensure correct resources in line with calibration workload planning to drive the highest levels of customer service and operational efficiency
  • Develop and implement a management system to meet ISO/IEC 17025 and the Calibration Management Process
  • Liaise with customers on all technical aspects associated with calibration and ISO standards for different product lines
  • Process and issue metrological/calibration (UKAS) certificates from calibration reports made by Service Engineers to customers
  • Liaise with UKAS Representatives and maintain all procedures and uncertainties within the company’s management system
  • Communicate internal customers when required to ensure our customers’ calibration status is known
  • Deliver calibration services and support for our customer base – internal and external
  • Support a team of Calibration Engineers in line with workload requirements, acting as the technical champion for the team
  • Assist in understanding and interpreting UKAS quality systems (17025) and processes
  • Produce service and calibration paperwork, including UKAS and non‑UKAS certificates
  • Implement and control the gauge management system for Service Engineers’ equipment
Qualifications
  • Experience working to ISO 17025 standards and UKAS audits
  • Experience with management systems
  • Strong work ethic and diligence in all activities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly reporting with Excel
  • Completed a relevant engineering apprenticeship or qualification
  • Ability to solve complex calibration problems requiring deep technical knowledge
  • Highly organized with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Capability and desire to support commercial teams with business growth opportunities

Location

Covering UK and Ireland with the calibration base at our Midlands service hub in Wolverhampton. Travel to other customer or Atlas Copco locations is required.
